Anatomy in dynamics
In this article I told you about my anatomy sketches on the SkillsUp school course. This one is dedicated to my further practice. I entered the course “Anatomy in dynamics” (SkillsUp) having decided to draw dynamic human poses.
This is quite an important theme which illustrators sometimes are reluctant to be engaged in because it is rather complicated, and it requires the base in anatomy and perspective drawing.
Within the course we’ve been making a lot of sketches. All of them were from different angles. After that we changed static poses to dynamic ones. This looked approximately as follows:
Then I started developing the complete characters, and at first I focused on heroic poses:
Then I decided to add more dynamics, so these characters came out:
Now as I finished the course, I see that now I feel more confident with drawing realistic human bodies. This doesn’t mean I’ll change the whole direction of the studio 😊 But this course added freedom to my way of drawing, and I hope not to miss it within time.
I can say that I’d recommend anatomy course to everyone who would like to understand more not only in illustrations, but also in the way our body works.
